French writer Marcel Proust completed the questionnaire twice in his lifetime, one at 13 and the other at 20. He believed that an individual reveals his or her true nature by answering the questions.
The Proust Questionnaire:
1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? Living out your dreams and being truly happy with who you are.
2. What is your greatest fear? Not making an impact.
3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Impatient
4. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Dishonesty
5. Which living person do you most admire? My grandmother
6. What is your greatest extravagance? Jewelry and vacations
7. What is your current state of mind? Ambitious
8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Loyalty
9. On what occasion do you lie? When I don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings
10. What do you most dislike about your appearance? My height
11. Which living person do you most despise? People who hurt other people; emotionally, physically or anyway
12. What is the quality you most like in a man? Respect, intelligence, sense of humor, honesty
13. What is the quality you most like in a woman? Intelligence, loyalty, honesty, confidence
14. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “Are you serious?”
15. What or who is the greatest love of your life? My family
16. When and where were you happiest? I was most happy during the time I was 5-8 years old, full of imagination, curiosity and love, and playing with my cousins and sister.
17. Which talent would you most like to have? Dance, ballet particularly or being able to learn languages quickly
18. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? To be more daring; not afraid to take chances
19. What do you consider your greatest achievement? I’m not sure what my great achievement is but I am really proud of being ambitious and having goals.
20. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? I don’t think I’d want to come back as someone else but I’d like to have more time on Earth.
21. Where would you most like to live? Somewhere magical and I’d like to travel the world first and then decide
22. What is your most treasured possession? My photographs
23. What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Life without happiness, magic and love
24. What is your favorite occupation? Something artistic or a job that helps more unfortunate people.
25. What is your most marked characteristic? Compassion
26. What do you most value in your friends? Humor, honesty, compassion, passion.

28. Who is your hero of fiction? Eloise, Hermione Granger

30. Who are your heroes in real life? My mother and grandmother

32. What is it that you most dislike? Sorrow
33. What is your greatest regret? I don’t have any regrets.
34. How would you like to die? I’d like to die soundly in my sleep at a very old age having known I’ve made an impact and will be remembered for who I was.
35. What is your motto? “Live like it’s heaven on Earth.”

i originally saw the proust ? in the mk and ash influence book and then i was looking through your tumblr and saw your responses so i thought it would be interesting for me to answer it too. i love reading everyone's answers to this questionnaire and i plan on answering it again when i'm older. :)
