blue crush

via(x)

Spring break, a time for relaxing and having fun in the sun. It has me remembering past spring breaks and wishing for summer to arrive a little faster. When I was 12 I went through a 'surfer girl' stage. My whole wardrobe was made up of surf brand t-shirts, mini skirts and bamboo flip flops. I wore my hair wavy and sun bleached. When my family visited Huntington Beach I spent all my allowance at the Roxy and Billabong stores and constantly re-watched Kate Bosworth's Blue Crush. Although I loved the beach; going snorkeling, swimming, building sand castles or just lounging with a smoothie, I've always been terrified to go surfing. I've watched countless shark week specials so I feel like I'd be prepared to fight one off but I'm too afraid to risk it.
These Chanel surfboards have me rethinking my phobia. Surfing in Waikiki on a Chanel board, dressed in Proenza Schouler surrounded by island bliss would be worth the risk.

Givenchy Haute Couture

via people.com

Just a quick post while I'm watching the Oscars to say how excited I was to see this gorgeous Givenchy Couture gown I've been obssessing over on the red carpet. It also doesn't hurt that Zoe Saldana has a model body to perfectly showcase the gown.

spring time

Spring is certainly coming early in the northwest. The Cherry Blossom trees, with their newly sprouted buds, look like fluffy pink cotton candy lining the sidewalks. I've even seen a few humming birds fluttering about. I find it quite odd that while the east coast is stuck in blizzards, Seattle, which is known for its continuous rain, is enjoying warm spring weather. That means I get to wear my sandals and light sweaters early this year. Springtime also means signing up for next years classes. Aside from the core classes I plan on taking French 3, Web Page Design and Photography. I can't believe I'm almost done with my freshman year of highschool. How is it almost March now? Timeflies... Anyway, the Miss Cherie Dior commercial always reminds me of the playful and girly side of spring. It's the perfect video for a little spring time inspiration!

The above pictures are of the gift exchange I planned with a fellow tumblr friend (peacelovechanel.tumblr.com) from Australia. I sent her a little coin purse from H&M and a Teen Vogue magazine. I also made a Chanel card with Chanel pictures and a chandelier stamp.

delicate details

(pictures of my grandma's house taken by me)

Don't you love going back to a childhood getaway? Right when you walk in that familiar smell comforts you and memories flood your mind. That's how I feel when I enter my grandmother's house after being away for a few months. Nothing has changed since I first crawled around the house as a baby. Everything; the furniture, the decor hasn't changed. I love how my grandma has decorated her house, filled with pieces passed down through generations and lace linens in every room. Her style actually reminds me of the Christian Dior Spring 2006 RTW collection, all the pastels, frills and delicate details.

gaga over gaga

Everyone knows Lady Gaga is out there. I know she expressing herself and "it's art," but she usually ends up looking a little wacky. But sunday at the Grammys she looks gorgeous! Note the tights and shoes. So here's a little tribute to the one and only Gaga whom right now I'm going gaga over (excuse my lame word choice ;] ):

to be haunted

Ben Lee cover of MGMT's 'Kids' filmed in one shot.

If I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life, I'd choose this cover.
